PaleMoon Issues

Postby pjb » 23 Dec 2016, 05:13

So I've never really been satisfied with Palemoon when viewing this forum. I prefer to use Firefox. But Palemoon is the only way to get Imagehost Grabber working without tearing up bits of Firefox.
The problem is, Palemoon hangs a LOT. And I mean a LOT. Usually tabs just hang for several seconds at a time, but lately the entire browser freezes up when browsing this forum.

Is there something I need to tweak to fix this? Anyone else had this issue?

Personally, I don't use Palemoon for anything except ripping galleries. I don't browse with it; I always use Firefox for browsing around.

I simply fire up Palemoon any time I want to rip a gallery with IHG, then close it again when that's done.

Same here, but lately it's become unusable. It was always a bit laggy, but now I can't even open a tab without a 30 second freeze. I guess it's not that well programmed :unsure

Mine opens a new tab & loads a page full of image thumbs in no more than 5 seconds on my Win10 laptop.

Be sure keep it updated so you're always running the latest version; currently, that's 27.0.3

Do you have NoScript & AdBlock Latitude (same as ABP but for Palemoon) addons installed?

Same problem here. It's much worse lately. :(

Adblock Latitude installed. Noscript not installed. When trying to install I get this:

Noscript could not be installed because it is not compatible with Pale Moon 27.0.3.

Just got Noscript installed. We'll see if that was the issue.

Nope. Still having problems. :?

Hm, pls. Mod, repost it, as your own;
I duno wanna steal "posting-points"

I use FF 43.0.1. with the latest IHG, incl. adblock plus und noscript; and it works fine;
even when u have 20 open Tabs - much more better, than PM
You only have to change something in the config (FF explain it), from true to false , and u can install ihg - that´s it
(Computer: C1037UN board, incl. XP and FastStoneviewer; So... "few years" old, but still working)

Um, I use Palemoon too, version 27.0.3 (x64). I have zero issues. None, nadda, nothing. Not saying your Palemoon might not be a problem, but that confirms that an unknown factor is likely messing up your Palemoon. I don't think it's the browser alone.
